Bedroom Furniture

Jake’s Amish Furniture Store

Jake’s locally made Amish and Mennonite handcrafted furniture and giftware can be found in homes throughout Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and Texas, and as far away as California, Hawaii, Germany, England, Israel, and Australia, to name just a few.

Most of our furniture is crafted by local Amish craftsmen. The result is a beautiful blend of Amish tradition with more contemporary and traditional designs. Because of weather patterns and nature, no two trees are alike, and the texture, color, and density of the grain vary even within a single tree. This also causes stains and sealers to absorb differently, which we call “Nature’s Mystery” in solid hardwood. Knots and swirls will appear in the grain. These naturally occurring patterns are not defects; they are the personalized touch of elegance and beauty that Nature’s Mystery brings to solid hardwood.

Although we make every effort to bring you the very best in style and quality, there will be times when Nature’s Mystery decides the character of your uniquely personalized piece of furniture.

Because of the nature of the wood, stain colors are not guaranteed to match the samples exactly. Solid wood furniture naturally expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity. These natural responses are not defects and do not necessarily affect the strength of the furniture.

Handcrafted for your craft

Amish Quality Sewing Furniture

Discover sewing furniture made with the quality and attention to detail Amish craftsmanship is known for. From spacious work surfaces to smart storage solutions, each piece is designed for beauty, durability, and everyday use.

Proper Care for Lasting Quality

All of our furniture is protected by several layers of hardened catalyzed conversion varnish, which is heat- and water-resistant but not heatproof. Please allow the finish to cure for 21 days before heavy use. During this time, do not set warm items on the furniture, and avoid prolonged exposure to water.

By following these guidelines, you can rest assured that the furniture you purchase today will be here for tomorrow’s generation.

Keep your solid wood furniture away from direct heat sources such as hot air vents, wood stoves, and radiators. Never place it on top of or in front of baseboard heaters.

Keep the humidity in your home between 50 and 60 percent, with moderate temperatures.
