Jake’s Amish Furniture is committed to exceeding expectations and delivering every piece in pristine condition. The following terms explain charges, preparation, timing, pickup, and what happens in the rare event of in-transit damage.

Rates and fees

Delivery charges

Standard rate: $2.25 per loaded mile, with a minimum charge of $125 per room.
Setup fee: an additional $30 for extra-large or awkward items, or for placement on a second floor.
Friday or Sunday deliveries: a $60 convenience fee applies.
Fuel surcharge: $20 for deliveries of 51–150 miles and $30 for deliveries of 151–250 miles.
Long-distance deliveries over 250 miles may include additional toll and hotel costs.

Delivery charges, fuel surcharges, and other fees are subject to change without notice.

Prepared for the journey

Furniture protection and assembly

Every item is blanket-wrapped and securely packaged to help it arrive undamaged. Most furniture is delivered preassembled.

Certain pieces, including table pedestals, legs, or mirrors, may require minor assembly with basic tools such as a Phillips screwdriver, wrench, or socket.

Peace of mind

In-transit damage policy

Damage during transit is rare, and all carriers are fully insured.

On-the-spot repair: the delivery professional will first attempt an immediate repair when appropriate.
Repair or replacement: if the repair is not satisfactory, the piece will be returned for repair or replacement and redelivered at no additional cost.

Pickup in Orrville

Orders may be picked up at 1255 Kidron Road, Orrville, Ohio 44667. Pickup is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM by appointment only.

Bring a vehicle large enough for the order, along with moving blankets, straps, or bungees for safe transport.

Private Shippers

Customers who choose a private shipper are responsible for arranging and paying for that service independently.

Delivery Timeframes

Delivery wait times are typically two to four weeks after completion, but unforeseen delays can occur. Jake’s appreciates your patience.

Terms that affect delivery and pickup

These purchase-order terms apply when an order is completed and prepared for receipt.

Down payment: 20% for standard pieces and 50% for custom pieces.
Material costs: increases in material costs may be passed on to the customer before delivery.
Storage: completed orders not received within two weeks of notification incur a $50 storage fee per item, billed monthly.
Cancellations: orders canceled after production begins are subject to a 30% restocking fee for standard pieces and a 70% restocking fee for custom pieces.
Jake’s Amish Furniture may cancel an order with a full refund of the applicable deposit. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between Jake’s Amish Furniture and the buyer.
